Legal Issues in Contracting: Timeline Disputes

Creating a timeline is difficult. Events in the last few years are great examples of how impacting issues can be totally out of anyone's control. Still, the parts of a project within control need to be specified and called out, and items that are out of control also need to be dealt with. 

Without consequences and problem resolution, a timeline is useless. If a deadline passes, what can be done? Can liens against the home be removed when supplies are unavailable?

Creating reasonable consequences is also difficult.
